Contact Tracing, the West’s Big Hope for Suppressing Covid-19, Is in Disarray

PARIS—When countries across the West emerged from lockdown in the spring, governments trained legions of investigators to identify and isolate people potentially infected with the coronavirus. The goal was to prevent a resurgence of the pathogen.

Four months later, the systems to find people who might pass on infections, known as contact tracing, are in disarray. Europe and the U.S. are each recording tens of thousands of new daily infections.

Democrats can F’ up a two piece puzzle.

That is not happening in the US, people are still debating if people should wear masks. People who don't wear masks are still blaming everything to the Chinese. What hope we have?

Privacy issues pushed by government and media in the west over the last several decades have resulted in folks unwilling to voluntarily give out information of any type.....

I’m sure if we nailed contact tracing the media would move the goalposts again. 15 days to flatten the curve, then wear a mask, then we need a vaccine. And all the while our liberties and livelihoods are trampled in the name of politicizing a virus to help Biden win.

It basically can't be done. Kitsap county has had 9 deaths with a max of 188 active cases in a population of 266,000. All older folks with underlying conditions. None of our local family of 10 even know anyone that had the virus! What are the odds. Nope, no information!
