Con Edison sealed a gas main that started leaking after a sinkhole swallowed up several vehicles earlier in the day at 71 W. 89th St. The Department of Environmental Protection was checking and making repairs to underground water pipes.
Con Ed will return on Wednesday morning to wrap up its repairs.
