With a telescope, it will be possible to spot the comet and its vast tail of dust, which is tens of thousands of miles wide.

The comet was a record-breaker at the time, becoming the farthest active inbound comet ever seen at a distance of 1.5 billion miles from the Sun. It was spotted way out beyond the orbit of Saturn.

Five years on, the comet is much closer to us and our star and will glide past Earth in just a few weeks. The comet is due to reach its nearest point to us on July 14, according to space website EarthSky. The comet will continue to fly towards the sun throughout this year, reaching its closest point in December.

China could bring first Mars samples to Earth before NASA | Digital TrendsChina is aiming to bring the first rock samples from Mars to Earth in 2031, two years before NASA plans to perform the coveted feat. That sounds like the CCP. Abandons its 10 year plan then wastes needed capital on optics. I am sure the housing market crisis is secondary to appearing important on the global stage. It’s the same material as here lol Wonder if China will just make them in a Lab and say they got them on Mars.
