Column: Yes, progressives. You really do need Joe Manchin (via latimesopinion)

It’s official: In the great existential battle between a return to normalcy and a new progressive era, normalcy is winning.

The only problem with all of this is that it was fatally detached from political reality. FDR and LBJ won landslides, had huge majorities in the House and Senate, and considerable support from Republicans as well. Worse for him, several Democratic senators, most notably Joe Manchin of West Virginia and Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona, aren’t on board for a new New Deal or new progressive era.

opinion If he doesn’t kill the filibuster to protect voting rights, there will be no need for ANY Democrat politicians in the future... because GOP will make them obsolete.

opinion Lol no.

opinion It should be obvious that there is no real Republican center. Any Republican who moves out of lock-step ends up like Cheney.

opinion We need to defund Manchin. Get him out of our government. He is a fool. Republicans don’t want to help people or preserve our democracy .

opinion No

opinion Oh, I see you got paid too.

opinion Shame. Disgusting article riddled with falsehoods. Print the news instead next time

opinion We need to retain the right to vote. Opposition to that is just plain racist.

opinion 5 months in and Dems are already eating their own. Calling Sen_JoeManchin a DINO and saying that SenSchumer should be replaced by amyklobuchar. This is why the Conservatives hold power. They unite. For the wrong reasons. But they unite. Dems. TALK to one another.

opinion I thought an earlier article was the worst take of the day. but no, it's this one, this is the worst take of the day.

opinion thanks

opinion no

Why Katie Thurston Said Yes to ‘The Bachelorette’ Amid ‘The Bachelor’ Chaos“It feels different,' 'The Bachelorette' star KatieThurston says about her season. 'I have a great group of guys, and I think BachelorNation is going to be really excited to watch that and see a change' katiethurston I haven't watched any of the bachelor franchise shows for years. I might glance for a second if a better show I'm watching goes to a commercial & there's absolutely nothing better to watch. A bunch of ladies and/or men go to a casting call & actually see all katiethurston Of the others competing for the same show. From the very beginning everyone is aware that there are approximately 25-30 people competing for the one person. As the show progresses, they are upset because 'the prize' is dating as many of the competitors as possible to make katiethurston a decision of who they want to spend the next 5 months of their lives together. They're not very aware of their surroundings from the very beginning. Such a boring show.

(Is that just me?)\r\n Regardless, this hand cream lives up to the brand\u2019s reputation for soothing and healing dry skin. It\u2019s mixed with the good stuff (skin-softening ceramides, moisture-retaining hyaluronic acid, brightening vitamin C) and protects hands with an SPF of 30.
