Snell Breaks Harper's Thumb in Padres Loss to the PhilliesBlake Snell was rolling. He was efficient, plowing through the Philadelphia offense and commanding all of his pitches. Then he hit Bryce Harper and everything started to unravel in a 4-2 loss to the Phillies. Snell lost control of a 97 MPH fastball and drilled the reigning National League MVP in the hand. Harper suffered a fractured thumb and figures… Sucks. Feel for phillie fans, but it wasn't intentional, you can see the ball slipped, Bryce turned the wrong way (not his fault it was coming towards his head), Snell obviously felt horrible and you could see he was upset about it.
