According to a new study, the 22 mostly red states that refused to accept Medicaid expansion starting in 2014 caused 15,600 unnecessary deaths among their residents. Columnist hiltzikm explains:

Republicans who think the American public is clamoring to repeal or roll back the Affordable Care Act have another think coming.Since then, conservatives have worked hard to depict Medicaid as ineffective . They’ve done so by overinterpreting limited studies such as a 2013 study of a Medicaid expansion in Oregon.

This sort of poison extends even to Seema Verma, a Trump functionary who despite being director of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services has argued that the expansion hasn’t been a success despite its enrollment figures and has beenFourteen states still resist Medicaid expansion, at great cost to their residents

neeratanden hiltzikm They’re killing their own voters. WTF is wrong with them?

delong hiltzikm Feature, not bug for GOP: broke folk ain’t voting for them.

LnghrnFaninPhx hiltzikm Aww okay

hiltzikm Compared to the 200,000 deaths caused by medical errors PER YEAR. I think we could focus on that too. EndTheBias

hiltzikm This wouldn’t change the red states’ views on Medicaid as someone will figure out a way to impeach the study and the data as a liberal conspiracy.

neeratanden hiltzikm The GOP is killing thousands of innocent Americans!!!

hiltzikm So the death certificates say cause of death is no Medicaid expansion?

hiltzikm “bUt AbOrTiOn Is MuRdEr” It’s not about life preservation, it’s about controlling your life. GOP = hypocrites

hiltzikm According to a CENTURY of studies there’s a correlation between people who still refuse to believe in carbon dating and people who refuse to listen to ‘studies’ in general. 😐

hiltzikm

LindaMi64500835 hiltzikm Letting people die to stick it to Obama, yeah the GOP is a death cult and dangerous.

hiltzikm Karma

hiltzikm Another honest, objective study with no agenda comes to a conclusion that pushes the correct narrative.

hiltzikm Why am I incredulous about this piece

hiltzikm Real humanitarians

hiltzikm I don’t see the issue?

hiltzikm Sad 15,000 people had to die

hiltzikm Rubes r rubes!

hiltzikm The real death panels are revealed.

hiltzikm winning JohnCornyn

hiltzikm I find the deaths of residents in states that voted for Trump to be most suitable. Farmers voted for their bankruptcies and red state residents voted for death by uncaring neglect. Give people what they ask for.

hiltzikm Was this a democratic study

neeratanden hiltzikm Hey SenRickScott, How’s your replacement plan for ACA coming or are you gonna Plea the 5th again?

hiltzikm BS article

hiltzikm poor people are focked under trump, especially the white ones who voted for him lol

hiltzikm GOP = murder

hiltzikm They don’t care. They only care about money. The money in their pockets. That’s all.

hiltzikm Only acceptable collateral damage to some.

hiltzikm If they all die off then maybe they'll finally be able to get the healthcare they need. 🤔

hiltzikm How many deaths have been caused by blue states protecting criminal aliens with sanctuary city policies?

hiltzikm Not having insurance can have a negative affect on your health? Wow! Who knew?

hiltzikm GOP_Death_Panels in action

hiltzikm So natural culling?

hiltzikm I’m all about universal healthcare but I am also for good journalism. This article reads like an opinion piece. Calling two states warped?! Really Report facts and stop giving people reasons to doubt what journalists report.

hiltzikm Racism is LITERALLY killing poor white Americans.

hiltzikm This number is probably significantly underestimated.

hiltzikm Another episode of the soap opera 'Progressive General Hospital'.

hiltzikm The Republican war on the poor produces real life casualties.

hiltzikm Notice that .realDonaldTrump and .senatemajldr keep saying they'll replace ACA but have never, ever produced a plan. Just repeal. They lie, there is no replacement plan. Just death.

hiltzikm Good thing we replenished our population with illegal immigration in just the past 36 hours.

EaterSouls hiltzikm That's what happens when people in control of populations medical benefits only see people on paper. Hospitals and citizens should be the only ones with votes into the medical insurance system and insurance companies should only be allowed to carry out the agreed upon policies

hiltzikm

hiltzikm All deaths are unnecessary, if we had infinite money and resources to spend on curing disease.

Poised to release her sixth full-length, Younger Now, at the end of this week (Sept. 29) -- after multiple changes of musical identity at just 24 -- she hasn’t necessarily made her best albums during the height of her making headlines.
