To address his gaffes, Biden has to charge straight into the problem and own it, writes columnist DoyleMcManus.

I once sat next to Joe Biden at an event where one of the speakers committed a classic gaffe: He unintentionally uttered an obscenity into a live microphone. The offending speaker wasn’t Biden; it was me.

“There’s no question that there’s a concern about Biden’s age,” a Democratic strategist who isn’t affiliated with a candidate told me. “He looks and sounds like he’s from a different era than almost everyone else on that stage.” If the question is whether Biden can withstand public scrutiny, he should be doing more public events, not fewer.this week. They are spinning all this as a plus, saying Biden isn’t over-packaged, that he’s always spoken his mind, unfiltered, and that’s why voters love him.

“There’s an awful lot of really good Republicans out there,” he said at a fundraiser in Massachusetts last weekend. “I get in trouble for saying that with Democrats.”

DoyleMcManus It's called senility, Trump suffers from it as well.

DoyleMcManus I know he’s the corporatist neoliberal plant, but ffs he should drop out. How does an old man who’s got ZERO SENSE of how to not offend people on multiple levels represent America’s future? He doesn’t. He’s a dinosaur.

DoyleMcManus And you guys want this buffoon as your President

Biden is the liberal version of Trump. On one hand, he could win back Obama/Trump voters. But it would be even more devastating to the Dem base than nominating HRC.

DoyleMcManus The top contender for the Dems 😂😂😂😂😂😂

DoyleMcManus Not gaffes. That's who he is.

DoyleMcManus I dunno if dats advisable...... maybe he should just not talk or sumptin? Biden chargin in might be akin to blue plate tapioca puddin time at the home. Jus sayin

DoyleMcManus Move on out of the race ... admitting he has a problem doesn't mean he is suddenly competent to be president, he's not.

DoyleMcManus Trump on Biden: I lie all the time, but I know it's a lie. This schm**k, lies, and he hasn't a clue he's doing it. Brain damage.. - To address his gaffes, Biden has to charge straight into the problem and own it, writes columnist DoyleMcManus.

DoyleMcManus Oh be quite.

DoyleMcManus ‘Truth over facts!!!!’ 🤣 creepyunclejoebiden

DoyleMcManus He can't. Just yesterday, in defense, he claimed he had the largest crowd sizes. This is how he handles critique. Those of us who have caregving experience recognize that he is not aging well. This is on top of who he is anyway - there is a reason he has dropped out twice before

Column: In shocking reversal, Big Business puts the shareholder value myth in the graveThe prevailing ethos of corporate management has been that a company’s prime responsibility is to serve its shareholders. But could this be changing? From columnist hiltzikm: hiltzikm No. It can’t change. Adam Smith is a vindictive mf’er. He’s undefeated since 1776. Those CEOs that don’t produce returns for investors will be ex-CEOs hiltzikm In doubt. American's greed culture is a disgrace. I hope so. hiltzikm I thought doing what is right is in the long term interest of the shareholders? The problem is executive compensation plans with the lifespan of a gnat.
