Column: A pandemic road trip can mean miles of anxiety. Things to know before you go

Did you see homeless people staying at the hotels? That's all the rage now. You'll usually see the homeless in the hotel common areas, smoking up a storm.

I took a planned road trip with my 80 year old mom at beginning of pandemic. I went into hotel first, got keys and wiped down everything in the room before my mom came in. I found out my mom likes to touch everything in a room, so more wiping surfaces 🤦🏻‍♀️
