Columbus College of Art & Design Fashion Show returns for spring

The CCAD Fashion Show is Thursday, May 9 at 8 p.m. at Kemba LIVE! in the Arena District. CCAD Fashion Show tickets and more information are available at. Chawis Saelim is a senior Fashion Design student at Columbus College of Art & Design. CCAD sophomore Aspen Grazier is modeling a look from his collection, which is inspired by the music of Pink Floyd and Japanese culture and art.

Japanese culture and art, along with artists Yohji Yamamoto and Rei Kawakubo, were the inspiration for Chawis Saelim’s The Dark Side of the Moon, which explores the visual depiction of the mysterious side of the celestial orb. Saelim shares his vision through pairing innovative patternmaking with classic tailoring techniques. One of Saelim’s most memorable fashion career moments to date was assisting friend, mentor, and alum Crystal Zhang at New York Fashion Week.

”Congresswoman Joyce Beatty will serve as the show’s inaugural honorary chair, while the Key family of Donica, Keith, Daniella, Darienne & Keith Brandon will serve as co-chairs.
