Denver is expected to get some snow showers from the system starting around the evening rush hour commute Friday and continuing into Saturday morning, but only about a half inch of accumulation is expected.
Denver’s temperatures are still expected to be below seasonal norms as ground snow cools the air; the high temperature Friday is 30 degrees and the low is 17 degrees. The approaching storm is south in Arizona and will lift through New Mexico into Colorado by Saturday morning. Moderate to heavy snow is likely Friday evening and overnight in southeast Colorado. Three to seven inches is expected in the winter-storm-warned area, as are 30 to 35 mph wind gusts.
Snow will fall over SE Colorado Friday night. The north edge of heavier snow will be around Limon and Burlington, but there could be several inches of snow just east and south of Denver. Further north, less than 2" is expected.
