Following a 17-point loss at home to USC on Sunday, the Colorado women’s basketball team fell out of the Associated Press Top 25.

Texas and South Florida, which both went 2-0 last week, jumped ahead of the Buffs into the rankings. South Florida, at No. 25, received 52 points in the voting. Illinois, which was at No. 22 last week, has 45 points, with CU not far behind.

The Buffs opened last weekend with a 73-70 overtime upset of then-No. 8 UCLA, but couldn’t complete the weekend sweep. Unranked USC rolled past the Buffs, 71-54, on Sunday at the CU Events Center.South Carolina remains at No. 1 after receiving all 28 first-place votes. Stanford moved up a spot to No. 2 after sweeping the Oregon schools last weekend. LSU, Indiana and Connecticut round out the top five.Utah moved up two spots to No. 7, the highest ranking in program history.
