Colombia has received a formal U.S. request seeking the extradition of accused drug trafficker and leader of the Clan del Golfo, Dairo Antonio Usaga, known as Otoniel, President Ivan Duque said on Thursday.

BOGOTA -

Duque spoke with Supreme Court President Luis Antonio Hernandez to ask that the matter be dealt with quickly, he said. The Clan del Golfo boasts more than 1,200 combatants and is connected to drug trafficking and illegal mining, as well as murders of community leaders.
