I'm not a fan of either standardized test or using standardized tests as an admission standard. However, even without them I believe student-athletes should be expected to meet the same minimum entrance requirements as other students.

University not accepting SAT/ACT for entrance requirement should replace it with own standardized exam to ensure college entrance requirement is equitable for all students including athletes.

If the athletes are not qualified as students, then another arrangement with prospect-athletes need to be made. Perhaps the NBA, MLB, NFL, etc. can subsidize or pay the prospects, provide their own developmental leagues. Let students study and enjoy recreational sports.

The standards were already so low for athletes that basically they needed to be able to divide 2 numbers and spell their name. JFC.

Not sure why they were used in the first place, but how is a standardized test a form of racism? It's literally designed to take all prejudice out of the equation. Same standard for everyone. Is it not inherently racist to assume POC could not perform as well as others?
