A new Covid-19 challenge for high-school seniors: Tell colleges how it affected you

Memo to high-school seniors applying to selective colleges: A high score on your SAT is out. A Covid-19 epiphany is in.

Hundreds of colleges dropped their mandate for a standardized test score this year as a result of the pandemic, but the replacement criterion at many schools may be just as daunting for would-be college freshmen: a new understanding of themselves and their place in the world as a result of the pandemic.

In a world where standardized tests are being replaced by profiles, ACadru highlights many projects that help college aspirants to stand out in the crowd.

And who thinks that American universities will continue to be top of the world in the longterm with mediocrity?

If Michelle Obama could graduate Princeton with a thesis I would have thought a 7th grader wrote, I’m not sure universities are really using standardized tests for ‘some students’ anyhow.

Good thing hollywood made it standardized to buy your way into a university anyways. Who needs hard work, tests and pressure

personal stories are cringe and weak. can you perform and are you intelligent ?

I’ve still never understood how a test can be unfair. You mean the written words that ask information and you know it or don’t?

Please don’t subject our children to testing this year.

Some schools were considering the move to no testing anyway, but COVID made many others go that direction due to lack Of opportunities for the class of 2021 to actually take standardized tests. My senior signed up three times, and had three tests canceled due to COVID.

Bye-bye merit......hello mediocrity!

Yay

Because certain groups are losing

The goal of getting rid of test scores seems to be so woke university administrators can have racial quotas.

Or you could do what that buffoon trump did and pay someone to take your test : (

i thought covid had gone?!!

5) In this way, the opposition is reduced to criticism. While the president can use the vaccine as an electoral resource until the last day of the elections.

4) On the other hand, the opposition has no control over the administration of resources related to the Covid 19 prosecution. And that gives the president the psychological possibility of electorally pledging, for a change! an action that can be carried out.

3) On the other hand, it is dangerous to insist on the media characteristics of the current president, because the media logic is something that the current youth understands perfectly, as the recent TT events demonstrate. So it is insisted that he is ignorant.

2) Suddenly, the Covid 19 issue breaks out. And it's something the president can't be blamed for. Therefore, he is accused of his handling of the crisis because that is part of the media character that he undeniably is.

TheBlueDevils foreshadowed this scene years ago.

1) This is about winning the election. And one of the two traditional parties hoped to win, appealing to climate change, as it always does, to say that the other party's candidate represents the always dangerous point of view of the ignorant leader.

Do the SATs give false positives? I understand that people can study/tutors/etc., and some smart people may perform badly. BUT do some people who are unsuitable for advanced ed. achieve great SAT scores?

World Health Organization announces distribution plan for COVID-19 vaccineThe WHO's proposed vaccine distribution framework ensures all countries access to the novel coronavirus vaccine once it becomes available. I don't trust WHO -- they will work on behalf of China. No thanks. It won't be distributed like this. The countries which paid for development are getting first doses and everybody else is getting based on the generosity of the countries that paid for early access. That's just how it's going to pan out. Plain and simple. Thanks but we don’t need access or the vaccine itself 😒
