The American spent 11 years as a top executive at the US Securities and Exchange Commission .Coinbase continues to expand its management unit by hiring the financer Scott Bauguess as Vice President for global regulatory policy. As such, he will coordinate the exchange’s interaction with watchdogs.
Bauguess has experience with regulators since he spent more than ten years at the US Securities and Exchange Commission, most recently serving as the Deputy Chief Economist. In addition, he is the Director for financial market regulation at the University of Texas McCombs Business School. The American shared the news on his Twitter account. He vowed to engage with watchdogs and create a “safe, efficient, and effective regulatory regime for digital assets.”
