ENTERPRISE— A Coffee County man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to the 2019 murder of an Opp man.

Brown’s body was found inside a burning car on County Road 663 near the Coffee/Geneva County line in March of 2019. Officials say Grissett fled to Jacksonville, Fla. after the incident, carrying a large amount of money and his passport, and that Grissett went to an airport in Jacksonville where he approached a security officer and told him that that there was a dead body at his home in Alabama.

People are also reading… At the press conference, Anderson said the cause of death was believed to be blunt force trauma to the head and neck area and a crushed larynx. He said officials believe the body was burned post mortem.
