Climate activists interrupt PGA golf tournament, spray red and white powder onto course

Climate activists interrupted the PGA Travelers Championship in Connecticut on Sunday and sprayed powder on the course before security personnel jumped into action. The Travelers Championship golf tournament is taking place at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell. Video shows the activists storming onto the 18th green and spraying the red and white smoke before being tackled to the ground by security officers. One person was wearing a white shirt that said, "No golf on a dead planet."

The incident happened before Scottie Scheffler, Tom Kim and Akshay Bhatia finished their rounds. The activists were escorted off the course and taken into custody as people in the crowd jeered and chanted "USA, USA."
