Downtown Cleveland has a key piece of transportation that runs two miles along the waterfront. However, some believe it is under utilized. That is something a group of graduate students from Cleveland State want to change.

“They want to make sure that whatever they recommended was equitable, accessible to all residents of downtown Cleveland and beyond,” says Kastelic. “There is a lot of opportunity for more development. If we could fill in some of those parking lots with high density development, in terms of affordable housing, not just for low income or high income, but mixed income,” says Kastelic.“Several of those people came to the final presentation the students did back in early May and I have heard nothing but positive feedback from RTA, from the City Planning Commission, and others that came to that,” says Kastelic.
