CLEVELAND, Ohio — For the first time since 2019 the Cleveland Monsters are headed back to the North Division finals of the Calder Cup playoffs after finishing off the Belleville Senators on Friday night at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, 3-1.
Cleveland took the series 3-1 and advance on to play the Syracuse Crunch in a best -of-five series with home-ice advantage as game one set for next Thursday at 7 p.m. “The big thing I think in playoffs is emotions can get so high, so it’s just about controlling those,” Monsters head coach Trent Vogelhuber said. “I think we did a pretty good job overall of after a goal scored for or against or little bumps in the road of responding pretty well which people’s emotions can swing so high and so low and that’s when you get off course and I thought we did a good job of managing those.
