Cleveland City Council says safety the number one concern for residents as it receives a new budget from the Mayor on February 1stCLEVELAND, Ohio - Cleveland City Council approved two financial ordinances in the Monday night meeting that will help develop the city.
Council members say the goal of the grant is to fund violent crime reduction by assigning six additional officers to each of the five Police Districts. Cleveland City Council also passed the establishment of the Shore-to-Core-to-Shore TIF District, allocating funds from rising property taxes in the district.
According to the city, funding will go to public infrastructure improvements to be made to directly benefit the district and neighborhoods.
