has been excellent for Clemson in 2023, ranking fifth in team defense through week seven. They'll get one of their biggest tests of the year when they head to Miami this weekend.and Phil Mafah, Miami has a strong duo of backs in Henry Parrish Jr. and Donald Chaney Jr. .
Tyler Van Dyke has been strong through the air. The redshirt junior is averaging 9.4 yards per attempt and has thrown 16 touchdowns to just six interceptions. This will be Van Dykes first start against Clemson after missing last season's matchup with a shoulder injury. The Hurricanes are in their first season under offensive coordinator Shannan Dawson who came to Miami after spending the previous three seasons as Houston's quarterback coach. Dawson comes from the Hal Mumme tree of coaching and pieces of the Air Raid are evident in the Miami attack, but there are plenty of elements of power run to deal with.
Clemson, who is trying to fight their way back into the conference championship race, will take on Miami at 8:00 on the ACC Network.
