COLUMBUS, Ohio — Columbus leaders announced Monday that the city will put more than $20 million into summer programming for kids.
“A safer community and a stronger workforce begins with keeping our young people on track over the summer,” said Hardin. “The programs we’re funding this year provide opportunities for kids in every neighborhood to learn, grow and build community, whether through athletics, STEM exposure, job training, enrichment camps and so much more.
There was also $12.2 million approved for several city-sponsored summer programs like police and fire cadet classes, the Columbus Recreation and Parks APP Job Readiness Program, summer camps and youth sports.
