Cindy McCain, the wife of late Republican Sen. John McCain, has joined the board of Joe Biden’s presidential transition team as national polls show him in the lead and his team hopes McCain’s endorsement will expand his support among moderate Republicans and Independents.
The announcement comes after McCain endorsed Biden, stating that her decision is aligned with her late husband’s values and she appeared in atold attendees at a fundraiser last week that McCain's decision to endorse him followed a report byTrump has criticized John McCain and, in 2015, said he was “not a war hero” and was only given that distinction because he was a prisoner of war, adding ”I like people who weren’t captured.
