The upcoming Greta Gerwig project will be the latest live-action adaptation of the classic series of children's novels of the same name by C.S. Lewis, which were originally published between 1950 and 1956.

While it is still unknown which of the novels will be adapted in Greta Gerwig's Chronicles of Narnia movie, which will be split into at least two features, a production update has revealed when the project will kick off production. Although this has not been officially finalized, the plan is for production to commence in August 2024. If this estimated date ends up becoming a reality, this means that the roughly seven-month principal photography period will likely wrap sometime in March 2025.
