NBCNightlyNews I've been saying this since it started!!! There's a reason why there was an increase in 'Opioid Related Deaths' after the crackdown... People were scared and committed suicide rather than risk having a lower quality of life!!! I was almost one of those people!!!

NBCNightlyNews It’s such a vicious cycle. Surgeons write bigger scripts that needed for post-op patients then cut them off. Now they’re addicted and searching for anything. That leads to the epidemic. Yet the chronic disease/chronic pain patients get screwed from people who were mismanaged. Sad
NBCNightlyNews I am in this spot myself. Just went through surgery to help my pain only to be in more but told opioids aren't an option. Tylenol has a warning about taking longer than 10 days. I was told to take a neurotic type medicine instead which caused my mother in law to go into a coma

NBCNightlyNews I agree, I suffer such pain, home to physical therapy many different times over the years but no help. Why would I not want to take a pain pill so I can get up and about.

NBCNightlyNews Sorry, but that would indicate the 'crackdown' is working! If the 'trade off' is 'some harm' & difficulty for those who suffer, I'm sorry, but measured against 70,000+ lives a year in 'ODs' we need to improve service to those in real need, BUT KEEP ON DOING WHAT WE'RE DOING 4 USA

NBCNightlyNews Because people struggle to understand the dichotomy of opioids. They help a lot of people manage chronic pain through their daily life, very effectively. Contrary to what the internet tells you, they don’t just exist to get people addicted to drugs.
NBCNightlyNews Maybe we need to figure out WHY people are in constant/chronic pain? Regardless, religious intake of paid meds is not good.
