Christian Navarro Called Out Disney for Casting a White Prince Eric

Following the announcement, Christian took to social media to express his discontent with Jonah’s casting. “Just came back to say; after months of seeing every person of color they could think of for the role of Prince Eric, @DisneyStudios somehow still cast a white guy. I guess diversity is just a word. And THATS Hollywood.

One brown person is enough, two brown leads is unthinkable,” the star reportedly wrote onShortly after, Christian re-deactivated his Twitter account, but not before voicing frustration cross-platform. “Literally @disney saw a who’s who list of actors of color and STILL went with the white guy. So much for diversity.

Disney is racist when it comes to male actors!

last time I checked skin colour doesn't affect level of talent or skills. The actor is possibly a good fit due to who he is rather than what he looks like.

But Ariel and Eric are gonna get together and it’s gonna be an interracial couple which Disney haven’t done before which is good. That’s kinda diversity right?

😄I mean, not to be mean cause you put it out there, 5 feet tall and 35 years old, may not be a good fit. You have to admit the guy they cast, looks just like the animated movie character. And he is young. Ariel and Eric are young. Dude and Bryce looked like uncles on 13 Reasons

I've never heard of this man, but I already want him to be Prince Eric. He has my vote!
