Interestingly enough, the two still very much appeared to be together after July 8, for example, when they posed on the red carpet together at the 10th Annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic in Los Angeles on Oct. 5. A source tells ET that 38-year-old Stause was blindsided by 42-year-old Hartley's divorce filing."Chrishell is still shocked that Justin filed for divorce and is devastated how everything is unraveling," the source says.

The only plausible reason I could think of of the differences in their separation dates is that he’s probably setting himself up for in case they bring up a case of adultery. So then he gets off with less or no $ accountability. And yes, I’m not a lawyer. 😆
