Zhang Xiaoming, one of the most senior Chinese officials overseeing Hong Kong affairs, made the comments during a meeting in the southern Chinese city of Shenzhen.

The Hong Kong demonstrators are in irresponsable and irrational terms, destroying Hong Kong social stability. Their violent behaviour only allow extremism to multiply violence&vandalism.
