An updated export rule from China could allow the country to complicate TikTok's sale in the U.S., according to multiple media reports.

China updated its export control rules to incorporate technology that could include TikTok, a claim that was later reasserted by commentary published in China's Xinhua news agency on Saturday. CNBC reported Thursday that TikTok would announce the sale of its U.S., Canadian, Australian and New Zealand operations in the coming days in a deal worth $20 billion to $30 billion.

TikTok should prepare an easy way to let American users to transfer their accounts to TikTok international and close business TikTok US. Trump is kicked out of White House soon anyway

Well done

Nice

If bytedance can earn billion from the US, the company itself will be a threat to CCP regime and its ceo will be in jail.

CCP loves to lose at poker... They're holding deuces again. No deal... No problem.

Msft should make an offer to Triller. Then they have a built in assimilation team when they buy the code from TikTok. You won’t need the tech transfer.

The 🇨🇳 CCP just found a smart new business model selling garbage apps to the USA 🤩

Everyone realizes that China has banned Facebook, Twitter and YouTube for a decade now right?

ByteDance should let the bidding start at $50 billion and give the Chinese government a healthy cut of the final sale. There's plenty of deep pockets out there. 🤑

China blocks the sale. The US blocks the app in the country. And a Chinese company loses out on a $30 billion sale of its US operations. The best possible outcome.

God damn Chinese Government

Man I’m getting tired of China fucking with my money

They are doing the same Trump is doing. Can’t blame them, can you?
