China's Wuhan marks sombre Tomb Sweeping festival amid coronavirus

Those restrictions are arguably the strictest in Wuhan, which has been ravaged more than anywhere in China since the virus first emerged there last year. As of Friday, 2,567 people in the city had died of the virus while 50,008 were infected. “She keeps asking me whether I’m going back,” the 40-year-old the property agent told Reuters this week as she broke into tears. “I don’t dare to call her any more because the tomb sweeping festival is coming up ... and it is especially important to the elderly.”Still, some in Wuhan found alternative ways to commemorate the festival and find solace in spite of those restrictions.

“There is an epidemic but this is China’s tradition, we can’t cast it aside,” said a man as he burned four stacks of joss paper, standing alongside his wife.

It’s so sad people can’t attend. One of the most civilised things a society can do is respect the dead. And in that China excels

China Government has orgnised more than thousands healthcare stuffs around the China to help Hubei Province which is the center of outbreak, if western countries authorities can be such efficient, the situation won't become that worse.
