BEIJING - China’s trade surplus with the United States stood at $15.32 billion in March, Reuters calculation based on Chinese customs data showed on Tuesday.For the first three month of the year, trade surplus with the United States totalled $40.77 billion.

Bilateral trade numbers are MEANINGLESS. You should report exports. You should report imports. Both types of transactions are win/win. If in the current numbers both imports and exports are down then BOTH countries lost economic activity and both are worst off.
