China's manufacturing activity eased in February, posting the slowest rate of expansion in nine months amid weak demand for new orders and falling exports, according to a private survey of manufacturers.
Still, February's reading was the 10th consecutive month that the Caixin PMI held above the 50 mark that separates expansion from contraction. Export orders dropped for the second straight month, the data showed. The job market remained under pressure, as the subindex of employment at Chinese manufacturers also fell in February.
Not expected. Indicates maybe no robust post-covid recovery?
