China levanta los fuertes aranceles al vino australiano ante la mejora de relación

China anunció el jueves que levantará los aranceles que impuso al vino australiano hace más de tres años, en un indicio de la mejora de la relación entre los dos países. El Ministerio de Comercio de China apuntó que la decisión entrará en vigor el viernes. China gravó el vino australiano en 2020 durante una disputa diplomática con por el respaldo del país a una investigación global sobre los orígenes del COVID-19.

En 2019, antes de la medida de Beijing, el comercio ascendía a 1.100 millones de dólares australianos anuales para la economía local. China impuso una serie de sanciones a productos australianos en 2020 durante el enfrentamiento más reciente en sus relación bilateral. Se estima que los aranceles costaron 20.000 millones de dólares australianos a la economía australiana.
