Patrick Mahomes lanzó dos pases de touchdown, el safety Bryan Cook anotó con un retorno de 59 yardas tras un balón suelto y los Chiefs de Kansas City se sostuvieron para vencer el domingo 21-14 a los Dolphins de Miami en el Deutsche Bank Park.

Los Chiefs hicieron apenas lo suficiente para contener a una de las mejores ofensivas de la NFL en el primer encuentro de temporada regular en Frankfurt, Alemania. Pero casi dejan ir la ventaja. La remonta de Miami quedó corta debido a que el quarterback Tua Tagovailoa no pudo sostener una jugada de cuarta y 10 en la yarda 31 de Kansas City a 1:03 minutos del final.

Mahomes completó 20 de 30 pases para un mínimo de campaña de 185 yardas en su debut europeo, pero la ofensiva de los Chiefs tuvo problemas en la segunda mitad.
