Chicago youth are speaking out after the city instituted a curfew at Millennium Park with young people only allowed in with an adult after 6 p.m.

CHICAGO -- Cloud Gate, which most know as the"Bean," was busy with tourists appreciating Millennium Park ahead of a holiday weekend. But some young Chicagoans say their visit isn't so carefree.

"It's not fair that they get to walk around without a care in the world and I have to be punished," said Bezzy Reed, with Communities United."How are the youth supposed to feel welcomed to a park in their own city?"We met some participants and youth leaders with Communities United to discuss both the problem of violence and solutions.

"Downtown was our outlet to get away from our communities," Indya Pinkyard said."We don't have as many resources as downtown has in our communities."

Kids need to start educating their peers. Parents need to start taking better control of their children. And law enforcement needs to start treating these children like adults if they want to do adult things there are adult consequences.

Come Downtown to Enjoy IT! NO Fighting, NO Dancing on packed cars, NO Harassing other Drivers and People. Best Behavior is required from ALL of Us,👨‍👩‍👦‍👦👨‍👦👨‍👩‍👦‍👦

Teach yourselves how to Act! And then it shouldn’t be an Issue..

I feel this will lead to another problem. Not sure what, but I feel they will retaliate in some way.

Chicago youth are speaking out THATS THE WHOLE PROBLEM. I didn’t speak out about SHIT unless I wanted a smack.

Gotta act right when your far from home. Not very complicated. It's called, 'respect'. Something rarely seen in Chicago these days.

Kinda like you’re right to kneel during the anthem. The thugs have every right to that park as the law abiding citizens . We need Ben cRump to sue the city .

The youth need to learn there are consequences with actions. There were bad actions and now there are consequences.

Fuck around and find out

Well apparently you and your friends don’t understand what civility is …. Maybe you yuths should’ve took those classes

This perfect examples set a rules and regulations, anyone to blame are the people who cause this. Complain to them instead

It's not 'white supremacists' who are destroying a once great city....

Now they speak up!!! 🤣😉
