Chef Travis Petersen canceled his upcoming “Nomadic Nights” cannabis dinner in Cleveland today minutes after Cleveland.com posted an article about the event. He made the announcement in an email sent to registrants, and cc’d to reporter Paris Wolfe.

, was planning to bring a private cannabis popup dinner to Northeast Ohio on July 19. He’s already held two such marijuana-infused dinners in Cleveland this year.

He blamed Cleveland.com for the cancellation in the email, saying the reporter had reached out to the Ohio Division of Cannabis Control and Ohio Department of Public Safety with questions about the legality of the dinner. Both declined comment, referring all questions to the Cleveland Police Department. Cleveland.com contacted the Cleveland Police Department for comment but had received no response at the time of publication.
