The touchdown strike capped a 10-play, 92-yard drive that wasn't all good news for the Chargers. Keenan Allen sustained an apparent injury after making a 12-yard catch on the play before Guyton's touchdown.

Allen has 10 catches for 137 yards and a touchdown today. For Guyton, it was his first touchdown catch since the 2021 season. The Chargers overcame an unnecessary roughness penalty on Derwin James Jr. to hold back Detroit on its opening possession of the second half. James' tackle on Jahmyr Gibbs in the backfield off a safety blitz played a role in stalling the Lions' drive at the L.A. 37. Chargers linebacker Kenneth Murray Jr.
