In the aftermath of any massive, deadly event, facts can be tricky. Perceptions get distorted and rumors fly in what's euphemistically referred to as the fog of war. The complete reversal of a key narrative fact was far from the only one.

during their initial news conference. Instead, theystressed the"quick response" of brave police officers who saved many children's lives.Abbott himself suggested the narrative might shift when he spoke Wednesday, flanked by a range of top Texas officials."Let me tell you the best information we have at this time," he said."Ongoing investigations often reveal new information as those investigations progress.

It's also important to recognize that, in dealing with a barricaded suspect – especially one who already has shot at officers – police are trained to avoid reckless assaults that may only increase the number of victims. But they are also taught to immediately take on an active shooter. At the press briefing Wednesday, DPS chief McCraw alluded to a delay, but did not acknowledge any objections from bystanders."It is going to be within 40 minutes or so. I don't want to give you a particular timeline. Law enforcement was there and engaged immediately. They contained him in the classroom, and put the tactical stack together in a very orderly way and breached."

But more notable was the account of the school officer"engaging" the gunman. After Abbott spoke, DPS Director McCraw elaborated, starting by describing the gunman shooting his grandmother. "The subject... used her vehicle, he was living at their residence since march of 2022, to drive approximately .29 miles, about a block and a half away from the school. He crashed the vehicle, exited with a backpack. He took a rifle with him....

The photo has been released. Now it makes sense to why an elementary school on the National Civil Rights Trail of Intergration and Discrimination from the 1960's & 70's is now a National Historic Place of Terrorism of a mass shooting.

Cruz is actually a great flag for data filtering in my opinion. If he's in the picture, there's a 99% chance that the article is full of nonsense. And in the off chance it's not, you'll bump into the same content through other means. Cruz = don't bother reading.

A man-sized mound of outhouse turds would do more for that pic Ted Cruz. A stack of gnarly turds would dawn ppl into the picture, as the ask themselves, 'wth is that? before the piercing revolt and 'omg' sets in upon recognition. Cruz has the same effect but none of the build up.

If Governor Greg Abbott didn't waste money & time on bussing immigrants to Washington DC and spent it securing Texas' schools, the kids would be safer moving forward. Arizona Governor Doug Ducey should follow that instead of building Donald Trump's Wall. It's Americans killing!

Politicians only care about one thing… getting re-elected. 95% get re-elected so they don’t fear the public. Most people walk in a voting booth looking for that familiar name, even if that name belongs to the devil, such as Ted Cruz.

Abbott is not in control of his state. State officials routinely lie to him because his own party sees him as a mouthpiece, not a leader. When they have misinformation to push he blindly repeats it to the press without question.

When does the Governor report to the public what happened the day after a shooting? It's always the police. Here, a group of politicians gives an error-filled statement way too soon, for the cameras. Abbott Uvalde

shame on us for not getting out to vote and letting the nra become part of our government.

Why was the door propped open ? How did shooter get into classroom ? ( unlocked ) Shooter was outside for 12 minutes. Police station is 1 mile ( 4 minutes) away. Have you asked about that ? How was over 5k in gear paid for ? Where does a poor HS dropout her that $ ?

Yep. The media does a very poor job of filtering out misinformation in an effort to get the scoop.

lies to cover up lies that is the republican way

You can always tell someone’s character by their facial expressions in times of trouble. Look how smug all of these guys look. That is what is in their hearts.
