Throughout the year, the New York State Canal Corporation is hosting a Bicentennial Forum Series, and kicked it off Wednesday with a talk about accessibility. Wednesday's event worked towards removing various barriers that prevent some people with disabilities from having the full canal experience. The house offers guided audio tours for people who are blind or visually impaired, as well as ASL interpreters for people who are deaf or hard of hearing., explained how they're working to bring amenities like these to municipalities along the canal.
