Last Friday, Dawson and his University City High teammates beat Point Loma in the San Diego Section Division III championship game, the first football title in school history.

“I had a big game,” University City quarterback Samuel Cooper said after rushing for 112 yards, throwing for 193 and three scores, “but the credit goes to the offensive line.Dawson will be at left tackle again Friday, and he hopes next week, too. “I want to play tight end, but I really didn’t let on during my recruiting,” Dawson said. “Oregon State wanted me on defense. Boise State wanted me on offense.
