SIERRA MADRE, Calif. -- Some Southern California residents woke up to a summer storm Wednesday morning that brought thunder, lightning and heavy downpours at times - creating a perfect opportunity to break out the cameras.
Some of the hardest hit areas were the high desert areas, as well as the San Gabriel Valley and foothill areas. The thunder and heavy rain was certainly enough to wake some people up overnight.

Not this. Monterey was a beautiful 75 degrees today. Unfortunately, we had a shark attack at Lovers Point with severe injuries. Pray for our surfers while out in the ocean.
In Weho, lots of pretty clouds, a bit of thunder, and one streak of lightning.
