If Texas was really trying to be 'small government', they would be encouraging every home to have solar panels and wind turbines, in place of a distributed energy grid that allows a small group of people to rip off the rest of the state.
The Texas gov needs to look at his power grid and he needs to stop getting windmills on the cheap (without heaters). And he needs to retire.
Now it makes a little more sense to me. Texas is the only state on its own power grid and not part of the nation wide federal power grid. They didn’t send power out of the state and other states don’t send power to them. That does not seem like a smart idea.
