The film is produced by DuVernay, Sarah Bremner, and Paul Garnes for ARRAY Filmworks. DuVernay has been developing the project since 2020, with Netflix initially attached to it.Maggie Dela Paz has been writing about the movie and TV industry for more than four years now.
