Moving its auctions online in 2020, in large part due to the Covid-19 pandemic, CarMax has already installed UVeye inspection stations at several of its wholesale locations and will expand installations throughout its wholesale network, according to a release.... [+]The company said it plans to use the UVeye vehicle scans to check vehicle exteriors, undercarriage components and tires to produce online reports that include high-resolution photos.
UVeye originally created it's drive-through inspection stations for security purposes including detecting contraband at international border crossings but the growing company has quickly expanded its automotive business beyond use at vehicle assembly plants.
