According to the San Diego Police Department, the crash which involved two cars happened around 9:06 pm at the intersection of Rosecrans St and Sports Arena Blvd.
Police said a 31-year-old man driving a 1999 Toyota Tacoma truck was speeding westbound on 2900 Sports Arena Boulevard, hit a median and went airborne. The truck landed on top of a 2015 Toyota Sienna van with four people inside in the 3800 block of Rosecrans Street. — San Diego Police Department May 8, 2022 A woman and a man inside the van died at the scene, SDPD said. The two other passengers were taken to the hospital with unknown injuries. The 31-year-old man was taken to the hospital with broken bones and several other injuries. San Diego Traffic Division is investigating the crash.
