Before the Capitol riot, Pauline Bauer’s neighbors in rural Pennsylvania knew her for her restaurant's pizza and ice cream. After her arrest on riot-related charges, she became a target for strangers’ scorn and a punchline for a late-night talk show.

how they feared for their lives and continue to suffer physical and emotional pain.

Such political division over how Jan. 6 unfolded has occurred in communities across the country. Forty-seven percent of Republicans say it can be described as a “legitimate protest,” while only 13% of Democrats say the same, according to a June poll from Monmouth University. Road signs bill Kane as “A Star in the Forest” and as the hometown of the late NBA basketball coach Chuck Daly. The town also is known as the “Icebox of Pennsylvania” for its frigid, snowy winters.

Last year, as her business suffered, Bauer also began to embrace an ideology that appears to comport with the “sovereign citizens” extremist movement’s belief that the U.S. government is illegitimate. Bauer says she is a “sovereign people,” not a sovereign citizen, and refers to herself as “Pauline from the House of Bauer.”

She also told the judge that she wouldn’t allow a pretrial services officer to inspect her home, in person or virtually. The judge warned her that she could be jailed again if she refused to comply. He also denied her request to dismiss her charges, which include obstruction of an official proceeding and disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds.“You know what? You don’t get to demand terms from me,” the judge replied.

On a recent episode of “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” the host mocked Bauer for claiming to be a “divinely empowered entity immune from laws.”

'she should have complied'

Pauline Bauer belongs in jail.

President Bush assisted in 2001, material witness.

Not feeling sorry

Fantastic

It’s almost like you shouldn’t be a terrorist…

Um so she's the victim?

In which an entitled white lady suddenly discovers her actions have consequences.

So? That’s what “fuck around and find out” means in real time.

Don't be a criminal and no one will treat you like a criminal. It's not difficult.

Scorn and a punchline are the least that any participant in the insurrection deserves. Treason used to mean the death penalty. Anything short of that, she's lucky.

I'll bet she endorses Trump's 'just shoot them' solution for the small minority of black rioters at BLM/George Floyd peaceful protests! Her participation in the violent insurrection is in no way the same as those violent BLACK rioters! Her violence was patriotic Trump violence!

Hear me out...maybe she shouldn't have participated in an attempt to overthrow the government....

Yea and.....

Should of kept her self at the pizza place

I like the one comment by her regular about standing up for her rights. Because we all should have a right to bring someone out to hang them? Ok seriously do you hear yourself talk or no?
