Campaigners protest outside the Royal Courts of Justice where a Court of Appeal ruling is taking place on the Heathrow expansion row, in London, Thursday, Feb. 27, 2020. Britain's Court of Appeal is preparing to publish its decision in a case that could stall the 14 billion pound ($18 billion) plan to expand Heathrow Airport amid concerns about climate change, pollution and noise.
Heathrow Airport said it will appeal to the Supreme Court and says it is “confident that we will be successful.” Less than a few hours after the ruling, Johnson’s spokesman said the government will not appeal, signaling a change of tone in the leadership. The location of a new runway in southeastern England has been debated for years, pitting the economic benefits of greater expansion versus the consequences of all those additional planes at Heathrow, already one of the world’s busiest airports. The issue is so toxic that politicians created an independent commission to weigh the options.
Stupid.
Wishing my best to Prince Harry and Meghan, and to all the Royal families everywhere.
AMS and CDG will now announce extra new runways.
Halleluyah!!!
Move out of London to an expandable Air/Space Port and connect with Hyperloops.
Blocking the construction of a runway will not alter the weather or climate in any way whatsoever.
Crazy
