California to Allow Indoor Concerts, Theater Performances to Resume April 15

California will allow indoor concerts, theater performances, sporting events and conferences to resume starting April 15 in eligible areas.

The state unveiled its latest change to coronavirus-fueled restrictions on Friday, according to the Associated Press, and stated that these events and performances can take place in areas coded as red, orange and yellow according to California's. The most restrictive tier, purple, would not allow for these changes. Moreover, people who want to attend these indoor gatherings will need to be tested for COVID-19 or show proof of full vaccination.

The number of people allowed to attend indoor events will also depend on the color-coded tier that a region is currently in. In the red tier, a venue that holds up to 1,500 people can invite visitors only at a 10 percent capacity; if the venue can hold more than 1,500 people, then it is allowed to fill at 20 percent capacity.

Not sure this procedure will work properly with all the people entering, but happy that it might be possible to attend indoor gatherings in the near future! film4230
