The Bobcat Fire in Los Angeles County has burned more than 103,000 acres of the state, as of Sunday.

The SQF Complex Fire in the Sequoia National Forest includes the Castle and Shotgun fires. Most of the Castle Fire is within the Sequoia National Forest, while some of it is burning in the Inyo National Forest and a large part of it is burning in the Golden Trout Wilderness area, which spans both national forests.

In the East Zone, the fire is expected to see movement in the southern end from Camp Nelson to the Kern River and continues to impact the communities of Cedar Slope, Alpine Village, and Sequoia Crest, Pyles Boys Camp, the Freeman Sequoia Grove, as well as infrastructure on Jordan Peak, U.S. Forest Service facilities, and the Highway 190 corridor, according to the latest report Sunday by the NWCG.

The fire continues to threaten the communities of Camp Nelson, Pierpoint, and Ponderosa as well as infrastructure and physical assets at Osa, Beach, Casa Vieja and Beck Meadows, the report noted. Fire behavior in the West Zone of the Castle Fire was"moderated by the dense smoke and inversion layer. When the inversion lifts, increased rates of spread are being observed. Rollout on steep slopes is promoting slow fire advance," the report noted. Some evacuation orders have been reduced to warnings but evacuation orders, warnings and road closures remain in place for various other parts of the impacted area.
