Germany Finds Some Tesla Superchargers Temporarily IllegalIn order for Germany to officially approve Tesla's 'public' Superchargers, which can be used by non-Tesla EVs, they need a kWh counter on each charging stall. 'Every charging station at which charging current is billed according to kilowatt hours must comply with calibration law in Germany , i.e., have a meter that precisely measures the charged current. This applies to public space, but also to company and private premises.' This is unmistakable. I wonder how a company as large as Tesla thinks it doesn't need to have a certified meter for its chargers. Charging at a Superchargers for non-Tesla owners through the Tesla App is quite easy and also transparent with regards to kWh and costs. Tesla Superchargers also function more reliable than the stalls of most other charging networks. German red tape at its best... 🤔
